Accreditation of drink‐driving prevention instructors

What are drink‐driving prevention instructors?

There are many complex factors behind drink‐driving, including a lack of awareness of alcohol and drinking habits, factors that cannot be solved by appealing to morals alone. Drink‐driving prevention instructors obtain an understanding of the working environment and local responses and then conduct training to spread basic knowledge of alcohol and ways of drinking in moderation.

The training these instructors provide aims to increase the effectiveness of drink‐driving prevention, and to control heavy drinking that can cause problems such as weight gain, lifestyle diseases, and depression.

At Sakura Kotsu, in our aim to eliminate drink‐driving in the transport industry and to promote health, two managers have been granted formal accreditation as drink‐driving prevention instructors by the non‐profit organization, ASK. Here, we introduce these two instructors.

Drink‐driving prevention instructors
My name is Kenji Kaneko.
I work at the Sakura Kotsu Wakamatsu Sales Office.
I have recently been accredited by ASK as a drink‐driving prevention instructor.
We all have various opportunities to drink alcohol, but we should aim to keep our alcohol intake to 1 unit on days before work, and to 3 units on days before our days off, keeping our plans for the next day in mind.
I also enjoy a drink myself, but I have found myself drinking at home more often. I look forward to working with you.
